I wish to thank the Board of Directors of the St. Bernadette Institute of Sacred Art for nominating me and for my induction as a 2005 Laureate of the Mother Teresa Awards. This is a high honor and privilege that I will cherish all my life. I heartily accept this award.

Thank you and God bless you!

Sister Margaret Beaudette, S.C.
Nomination: For her role as American Artist --- especially in the fields of sacred art and sculpture

With a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from Catholic University in Washington, DC, Sister Margaret Beaudette has devoted her talents in art for more than thirty years, teaching and creating her own sculptures. Today her works can be seen across the United States in churches, hospitals, shrines and in institutions such as De Paul University, Seton Hall University and St. John’s University. In addition, Sister Margaret’s sculptures may be found in Lourdes, France as well as Canada, Bermuda, Haiti and Korea.

As an artist, Sister Margaret’s style is uniquely her own, emphasizing traditional figurative work with clarity of line and form. No matter the figure, her work shows incarnational spirituality — God’s love and compassion.
